Well done truck driver, well done.

Semi Truck Accident M72

Posted by Leelanau County Sheriff's Office on Thursday, April 21, 2016

On a rainy day in western Michigan, two teenagers got a second chance at life, thanks to the great instincts and split-second decisions of a local rock hauler. A teenager driving a Buick was trying to pull out of a gas station, and not doing it very well. You can see in the video that the teen was struggling to figure out where to be, as you see two other drivers trying to get around the kid to get into the station.

Well, here’s a video showing what happened after he chose the latter option. This Time Crashing The Truck Was Actually The Better Option

As you see in the video, the teen pulls out in front of an oncoming rock hauler. The 32 year old local trucker swerves his rig quickly to the right, jackknifing and crashing into the side of the road, hitting the gas station sign and totaling the truck. Thankfully, no one was injured, and these two kids will live another day, hopefully learning more than just how much it sucks to get a ticket.

If they make it to 21, they need to buy that truck driver a beer!
