CDL A: Tractor Trailer Training - 160 Hours (4 Weeks)
This course is our most popular course. We encourage each prospective student to take the CDL A course, because it gives you more career options when you graduate. During this course you will be in the classroom the first week learning the theory behind operating a commercial vehicle in order to pass your written permit test, then you will move out to the yard to learn maneuvers. Afterwards, under supervised instruction by one of our experienced trainers you will learn the skills necessary to drive a tractor trailer on the road. This is where you gain the knowledge and most importantly, the confidence to operate a truck safely and efficiently. These trucks are very large, very heavy and can be dangerous, proper instruction from professionals is necessary, critical and crucial for your future as a professional driver.

Right here in your backyard, New Castle Trade School (about 20 minutes from Youngstown) has been designed to be one of the industry's leading programs. Our course qualifies students for various entry-level positions as drivers in over-the-road or local driving vehicles.
At All State Career School, our Class A CDL Preparatory Driving training program emphasizes hands-on training in our practice yard and on the road in a tractor-trailer. Our goal is to teach students the basics of safely operating a tractor-trailer, which will enable him/her to pass the Class A CDL test. Once a graduate has obtained a Class A CDL and a diploma or certificate from All-State Career, they will be eligible for employment as a tractor-trailer driver. This program is suited for those who are interested in entry-level positions as long-distance tractor-trailer drivers.
Roadmaster Drivers School takes a hands-on approach to training drivers to get their CDL license. By teaching the necessary skills such as trip planning, map reading and compliance with Department of Transportation laws, our drivers are better prepared to work in the trucking industry. You will learn techniques such as how to back up and turn a tractor trailer and large truck as well as how to hook up a trailer and safe over the road driving. Roadmaster CDL training will provide you with the skills needed to pass the CDL knowledge and skills test and become a licensed operator.
